24 Of The Best Horror Movies And Shows on Hulu

You may be surprised to find out that Hulu has a decent selection of horror movies, including huge blockbuster hits, indie favorites (and unknowns), and even some great originals. Here are the best horror movies on Hulu, in our humble opinion.

Additionally, Hulu also worked with Blumhouse between 2018 and 2021 to produce 24 television movies under the collective title of Into the Dark.

1. Prey (2022)

An all-new entry in the Predator franchise, set 300 years ago, tells the story of a young Comanche woman, a fierce and highly skilled warrior, who stalks and ultimately confronts, a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal.

2. Hellraiser (2022)

A reinvention of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic from director David Bruckner in which a young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.

3. Nightmare Alley (2021)

In Guillermo del Toro’s film noir, an ambitious carny (Bradley Cooper) crafts a ticket to success grifting the elite of 1940s society. With Molly (Rooney Mara) by his side, he plots to con a tycoon (Richard Jenkins) with the aid of a mysterious psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett), his most formidable opponent yet.

4. Oculus (2013)

Before he became known for his work on Netflix with projects like The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, Mike Flanagan adapted his own short film into this movie.

A woman (Karen Gillan) tries to exonerate her brother, who was convicted of murder, by proving that the crime was committed by a supernatural phenomenon.

5. Sea Fever (2019)

A solitary marine biology student, doing research on a fishing trawler, struggles to gain the trust of the close-knit crew when they encounter an unfathomable creature that threatens their lives.

6. Fresh

Fresh follows the horrors of modern dating seen through one young woman’s (Daisy Edgar-Jones) defiant battle to survive her new boyfriend’s (Sebastian Stan) unusual appetites.

7. Little Monsters (2019)

A film dedicated to all the kindergarten teachers who motivate children to learn, instill them with confidence and stop them from being devoured by zombies. A washed-up musician (Lupita Nyong’o) teams up with a teacher and a kids’-show personality to protect young children from a sudden outbreak of zombies.

8. Run (2020)

There’s something unnatural about the relationship between Chloe (Kiera Allen) and her mom, Diane (Sarah Paulson). Diane has raised her daughter in isolation, controlling every move since birth, and there are secrets that Chloe’s only starting to grasp.

9. Parasite (2019)

Greed and class discrimination threatens the newly formed symbiotic relationship between the wealthy Park family and the destitute Kim clan.

10. Censor (2021)

A film censor is assigned to review a disturbing film that recalls her childhood memories. She begins to unravel how this eerie work might be tied to the long-ago disappearance of her sister.

11. Flesh & Blood (2018)

On Thanksgiving, teenager Kimberly tries to move on from her mom’s unsolved murder to cure her agoraphobia. But under the care of her doting father (Dermot Mulroney), she starts to suspect that she is in danger and it’s always the ones you love who hurt you the most.

13. Willy’s Wonderland (2021)

A quiet loner is bamboozled into taking a janitorial job at the now closed down Willy’s Wonderland, a condemned family fun center. The menial tasks take a wild turn when demonic animatronic mascots start to attack.

16. Castle Rock

The psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of his works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.

17. Light as a Feather

Four best friends invite the shy new girl out on Halloween, but they quickly regret their decision when she suggests they play a game of Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board.

The seemingly innocent game goes awry when the five girls who played start dying off in the exact way that was predicted. The survivors are then forced to figure out why they’re being targeted — and whether the evil force hunting them down is one of their own.

As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers wage war for the fate of humanity itself.

22. The X Files

The truth is out there. FBI agents Scully and Mulder seek it in this sci-fi phenomenon about their quest to explain the seemingly unexplainable.
